Through practical, community-based initiatives, we work across eight interconnected areas, combining empowerment, inclusion, education, livelihoods, humanitarian support, sports and creative development.

Women, Girls & Social Inclusion
GRTF works to expand opportunities for women and girls to participate fully in education, livelihoods and community life. We seek to address practical barriers that can limit access to resources, support, participation and independence, while promoting dignity, inclusion and greater agency.
Our approach recognizes the importance of creating opportunities through education, economic empowerment, community participation, protection and access to practical support, particularly for women and girls experiencing disadvantage or exclusion.

Youth Empowerment & Livelihoods
Youth Empowerment & Livelihoods
GRTF supports young people to develop practical skills and access the tools, mentoring and resources they need to pursue productive and sustainable livelihoods. We believe that skills development is more meaningful when young people have opportunities to apply what they learn and access resources that can help turn skills into economic opportunity.
Our experience includes empowering young people with sewing machines, shoemaking machines, beat-making kits and other starter resources, enabling participants to develop practical skills and pursue income-generating and creative opportunities.
Our work includes: skills acquisition; mentoring; entrepreneurship; starter equipment; creative skills; livelihood development; and economic opportunity.

GRTF supports access to education for vulnerable children and girls who may face financial, social or other barriers to continuing their education. We see education as an important pathway to opportunity, confidence, independence and participation.
Our work has included scholarships and educational assistance for vulnerable children and girls, including out-of-school learners, helping create opportunities for beneficiaries to access or continue their education.

Disability Inclusion
Disability Inclusion
GRTF works to promote dignity, participation and opportunity for persons with disabilities by responding to practical barriers that can restrict mobility and inclusion.
Our interventions have included the provision and distribution of wheelchairs as well as sports and recreational activities involving persons with disabilities. Through these efforts, GRTF seeks to support greater mobility, participation, social connection and inclusion within communities.

GRTF recognizes that vulnerable people and communities can experience exclusion that affects their ability to participate fully in society and access opportunities and support.
Our work seeks to strengthen dignity, participation and social inclusion, while supporting practical responses to barriers faced by people experiencing disadvantage. We aim to create environments in which people are treated with respect and have greater opportunity to participate in their communities.

Humanitarian & Community Support

GRTF provides practical assistance to people and households experiencing hardship, crisis or circumstances that affect their ability to meet immediate needs.
During the COVID-19 period, GRTF provided food and cash assistance to both men and women, responding to immediate community needs during a period of significant hardship. This experience reflects our broader commitment to practical community support when people need it most.
Our work includes: food assistance; cash support; community assistance; support to vulnerable households; and practical responses during periods of hardship and crisis.

Sports & Recreation
GRTF uses sports and recreational activities as avenues for participation, inclusion, wellbeing and community connection.
Our work includes sports activities involving persons with disabilities and other recreational opportunities that encourage participation and social interaction. We see sport not only as recreation, but also as a practical way of creating inclusive spaces where people can connect, participate and develop confidence.

Arts, Talent & Creative Development
Talent development is central to GRTF's identity and founding purpose. The Foundation's constitutional objectives include promoting talent development, mentoring young people, supporting talented people, developing creative Nigerians, promoting entrepreneurial skills and creating opportunities for economic independence.
GRTF creates opportunities for people to discover, develop and express their abilities through arts, creativity, mentoring and practical skills. Our approach connects talent with opportunity by encouraging people to develop abilities that can contribute to personal growth, creative expression and, where possible, livelihoods.
