Who We Are
GrassRoots Talent Foundation (GRTF) is a Nigerian nonprofit organization established in 2016 to expand opportunity, support talent development and improve the wellbeing and participation of vulnerable and underserved people and communities.
GRTF works at the intersection of talent, education, livelihoods, inclusion and community support, creating practical pathways for people to develop their potential, strengthen their independence and participate more fully in society.
Our work has included skills and livelihood support for young people, scholarships and educational assistance for vulnerable children and girls, disability inclusion and mobility support, humanitarian assistance, sports and creative activities, and other community-based interventions.
Our Story
Our Story
GRTF grew from a commitment to respond to practical needs within communities and create opportunities for people who are often underserved or excluded.
Over the years, the Foundation has supported young people with livelihood and creative-industry starter equipment, provided educational assistance and scholarships to vulnerable children and girls, supported persons with disabilities through mobility and inclusive activities, and provided humanitarian assistance to people experiencing hardship.
These experiences continue to shape GRTF's approach: listen to communities, identify practical needs, mobilize support and turn resources into meaningful opportunities.

GRTF recognizes that barriers to opportunity are not experienced equally. Women and girls, young people, persons with disabilities, children, and people living in vulnerable or underserved communities can face particular social and economic barriers to education, livelihoods, participation, safety and dignity.
We therefore seek to design and support practical interventions that respond to people's lived realities, strengthen agency and expand access to opportunity.

GRTF recognizes the importance of ensuring that women and girls are not excluded from opportunities, resources and community participation.
Through education, livelihood support, community assistance and inclusive activities, GRTF seeks to help address practical barriers affecting women, girls and other underserved groups.
We are particularly interested in partnerships that strengthen women's and girls' access to opportunity, economic independence, education, participation, safety, dignity and inclusion, while responding to the priorities identified by the communities themselves.
