We will not use personal information for purposes that are incompatible with the purpose for which it was collected unless permitted or required by applicable law.
5. LAWFUL BASIS FOR PROCESSING
Where applicable, GRTF will process personal information on an appropriate lawful basis under applicable data protection law.

6. PHOTOGRAPHS, STORIES AND PROGRAMME DOCUMENTATION
As a community-based organization, GRTF may document its programmes through photographs, videos, testimonials, beneficiary stories and other forms of programme documentation.
Where an identifiable individual's image, story or personal information is intended for public communications, fundraising, advocacy, reporting or promotional purposes, GRTF will seek appropriate permission or rely on another lawful basis where permitted by applicable law.
Particular care will be taken when documenting children, vulnerable persons and sensitive circumstances.
Where appropriate, GRTF may anonymize or limit identifying information when publishing programme stories or impact information.
7. SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
GRTF does not sell personal information.
We may disclose or share personal information where reasonably necessary and lawful with:
Donors and funding partners, particularly for legitimate programme reporting and accountability;
Programme implementation partners;
Professional advisers and service providers;
Technology, hosting, communication or administrative service providers;
Regulators or government authorities where legally required;
Law enforcement or other competent authorities where required by law; or
Other parties where you have provided appropriate authorization.
Where information is shared with third parties, GRTF will seek to ensure that appropriate safeguards are applied in accordance with applicable legal and contractual requirements.
8. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Because GRTF may work with international donors, institutions, technology providers and development partners, personal information may, in appropriate circumstances, be accessed or processed outside Nigeria.
Where such transfers occur, GRTF will seek to ensure that applicable legal requirements and appropriate safeguards are observed.
9. DATA SECURITY
GRTF takes reasonable administrative, organizational and technical measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure or destruction.
However, no method of electronic transmission, storage or internet communication can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Accordingly, while we take reasonable precautions to protect information, we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored by us.
10. DATA RETENTION
GRTF will retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to fulfil legitimate organizational purposes, meet legal or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, maintain appropriate records or satisfy donor and accountability obligations.
When personal information is no longer reasonably required, GRTF will take appropriate steps to delete, anonymize or securely dispose of it, subject to applicable legal and organizational retention requirements.

Subject to applicable law and relevant limitations, individuals may have rights concerning their personal information, including:

The right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;

12. WITHDRAWING CONSENT
Where GRTF processes personal information on the basis of consent, you may withdraw that consent, subject to applicable legal or contractual limitations.
Withdrawal of consent does not necessarily affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
13. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
GRTF recognizes the importance of protecting children's personal information.
Where programmes involve children, GRTF will seek to apply appropriate safeguards and obtain any required parental, guardian or other lawful authorization where applicable.
We will not knowingly use children's personal information for purposes unrelated to the legitimate programme or organizational purpose for which it was collected.
